The memoirs are dedicated to the researcher of the Decembrists Natalia Fyodorovna Karash (28.06.1935–12.08.2018), a student of the remarkable Soviet historian S.B. Okun’ and an expert in the biography of S.G. Volkonsky. The reconstruction of the life path of one of the most prominent figures of the Decembrist movement, the detection and publication of his written heritage became the life's work of Natalia Fedorovna. In 2006 The Irkutsk Museum of the Decembrists published a book by N. F. Karash “Prince Sergei Volkonsky: The Life Story of a Decembrist”
