 DOI:10.31518/2618-9100-2018-1-12

The article analyzes migrations of population in the Novosibirsk region in post-Soviet period on the basis of a wide range of sources (1989–2002). Much attention is paid to peculiarities of areal movements in the region at the previous historical stage. It is revealed that systemic transformations of 1990s reflected on all demographic processes including migrations. At the same time in the eastern regions a crisis of socialistic system became more apparent because the refusal from long-term economic projects’ realization made the territories behind the Urals less attractive. Particular attention is given to studying the economical, geographical, and political factors of areal movements. The author defines the migration balance; investigates migration interaction between various economic districts of Russia and the former USSR; analyzes qualitative changes in the composition of migrant population.
