In the article, for the first time in Russian historiography, on the basis of a complex of historical sources, the significance of the memorial Taimyr Arctic expeditions of 1990 and 2013 is shown. as an important factor in the preservation and “renewal” of historical memory. These expeditions in general terms followed the path of the famous Norwegian traveler F. Nansen, along which he traveled in 1913 during his trip to the Yenisei Siberia. This event was of great importance for the development of the region and its promotion in Europe. The late Yenisei Arctic expeditions can be not only a positive example of the development of Russian-Norwegian relations, but also a model of international scientific, popular science, educational and commercial communications. The contribution of the Norwegian scientists S. Aasheim, O. Ravna and J.‑G. Winter in the success of the expeditions. The usefulness and necessity of carrying out similar flights in the future with an international team of students and teachers is proved. Much attention is paid to the memorial expedition of 2013, conducted with the use of the Arctic floating university and including numerous lectures, speeches, discussions, as well as visits to memorable places associated with the name of F. Nansen and merchant J. Lid. The authors revealed a significant contribution of the expedition members to the development of the Russian North, the popularization of historical knowledge, as well as the place of Taimyr and the Siberian region as a whole in the modern world.
