Despite the fact that the Old Believers, as a representative religious and social movement, have long been under constant attention of researchers, its socio-political component, as well as its organizational structure, still needs to be considered. In this regard, the study of record-keeping materials, which have been poorly preserved and have not been the subject of a special study, seems relevant in this regard. Analysis of record-keeping materials helps to trace changes in the social structure of Old Believer communities, to reveal the ideological foundations and the level of social and political activity of Old Believers, the evolution of their ideological constructions, which, as is known, most consistently manifested itself in critical epochs. Record-keeping sources help to restore in detail the history of Old Believer communities, biographies of the leaders of Old Believer communities, ordinary community members, whose position largely determined the decision-making on key issues of Old Believer life, which was far from easy at all times. The article introduces into scientific circulation the protocols of one of the diocesan congresses of the Old Believers of the Belokrinitsky hierarchy, which took place in Barnaul from 20 to 24 July 1917. Its vivid feature was the inclusion in the agenda of issues of the country’s political life, so diligently camouflaged by the Old Believers’ organizations throughout their previous history. The attempts of the Old Believers of various accords to find common ground and to act as a united front on the eve of the upcoming elections to representative bodies of power also look very unusual.
