 In October 1721, the celebrations in St. Petersburg on the occasion of the conclusion of the Treaty of Nystad with Sweden ended with a solemn ceremony of presenting the tsar with the title of Peter the Great, Father of the Fatherland and Emperor of all Russia. On October 22, Peter I accepted the title of Emperor. Russian statehood has acquired the highest status in the system of monarchical regimes. The articles of the submitted issue of “Historical Courier” are devoted to the three hundredth anniversary of the implementation of the Russian Imperial Project, interrupted in 1917. Their authors are predominantly Siberian historians, as well as researchers from other regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
