Minusinsk Museum of Decembrists – the only one in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

The article is devoted to the history of the creation of the Museum of the Decembrists in Minusinsk, the preservation of the memory of the “firstborn of freedom” in the events and projects of the only museum of the Decembrists in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, their contribution to the development of the region. The history of the Kryukov brothers’ house, where the museum is located, is briefly described. The article emphasires the importance of the memoir legacy of the Decembrist A.P. Belyaev in the formation and development of the museum concept; characterires of the museum exposition, its ideological basis, formation and development. The scientific, cultural and educational activities of the museum are presented.
