The article analyzes the economic policy of the German-fascist invaders in the occupied territory of the North-West of the RSFSR in 1941–1944. It was based on using the region’s economic potential to supply Nazi Germany and its armies. The occupation caused great damage to the economy of the North-West. Submitting to the tasks of deploying the German military economy, it aimed to drain the economic resources of the occupied territories by exporting raw materials, food, equipment and other material values. The mass terror carried out by the invaders against the civilian population was a premeditated criminal policy of the Nazi state. The local population was involved in mandatory work at enterprises, or sent to Germany. The occupation policy led to a significant deterioration of living conditions in the North-West of the RSFSR. The removal of food and warm clothing from citizens, their eviction from their homes, and the lack of medical care contributed to an increase in morbidity and mortality. The article presents the features of the agricultural and tax policy of the German command in the occupied territory of the North-West. The role of partisans in the fight against invaders in the territory of the region under consideration is shown. The partisan movement in the occupied territories was born in the autumn and winter of 1941. The partisans harassed the occupiers and collaborators, carried out their death sentences, and distributed leaflets among the population of the occupied territories.
