Documents of the Novosibirsk Archive on the Activities of the Red Cross in the Novosibirsk Region, 1941–1942 Years

 The article introduces info scientific use a number of documents reflecting the activities of the Red cross in the Novosibirsk region in 1941–1942. They provide data about the main goals and tasks facing the Red Cross during the war, trace their evolution. The article shows the change in the number of Red Cross organizations during the war years, the impact of mobilization and migration processes on them. The author gives data on the main directions of its activity: training of nurses, of nurses, volunteer hospital aides preparing, sanitary posts, organization of donor movement, sanitary and educational work, etc. The main difficulties faced by the Red Cross in its daily work are indicated. The authors of the documents conclude that the Red Cross organizations of the Novosibirsk region in 1941–1942, despite numerous difficulties, played a significant role in training, preventing mass epidemics, supporting the activities of evacuation hospitals.
