Since the late 18th century albums became an integral part of the lives of educated families in Russia. In Siberia album culture appeared in the first half of the 19th century. Many Russian travellers who went to Europe brought professional artists with them, or acquired lithographs with views of places they visited. One of such albums is stored in the fonds of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum. It belonged to Avdotya P. Kuznetsova, the daughter of the merchant of the 1st Guild Petr I. Kuznetsov. In the 1860s, after a long trip to Europe she brought to Krasnoyarsk a souvenir album with ethnographic drawings depicting the life of a cheerful inhabitant of Naples. E.P. Kuznetsova, a hereditary honorary citizen, was one of the most famous patrons of the city. Therefore, the existence of the album in the family of a person whose name went down in the history of the Yeniseisk province, attaches particular importance to this kind of rarity, reflecting the education, interest and taste of its owner.
