The Contribution of Merchants A.I. Gromova, A.A. Bushuyeva, A.E. Nadeina to the Social Life of North-Eastern Siberia in the Second Half of the 19th – Early 20th Century

The article analyzes the contribution of the Irkutsk merchants of the 1-st guild A.I. Gromova to the social development of North-Eastern Siberia in the late 19th – early 20th centuries. It is noted that the public awareness raising activities of the Siberian merchants in the remote areas of the north and north-east of the region had its own characteristics. The population of the region needed to maintain the spiritual mood, education, cultural education. A significant contribution to the development of the Siberian society was made by women entrepreneurs A.A. Bushueva, A.E. Nadeina and A.I. Gromov. For the first time A.A. Bushueva introduced methods of advertising products that came to the company's stores, organized cultural and educational events in a merchant society, and was engaged in charity. Based on analysis of previously unpublished and not introduced to the scientific circulation correspondence clerk of the trading house “M.A. Kokovin and I.A. Basov” V.I. Fefilov the author reveals the peculiarities of the contribution to the social life of North-Eeast Siberia of the merchant of the 3-rd guild A.Y. Nadeina. The businesswoman did not only run her own business, but also organized literary evenings, dinner parties dinners at her home, and was engaged in setting up educational institutions. The contribution of Siberian women entrepreneurs to the social life of North-Eeast Siberia is described in detail by the example of the activities of the famous merchant A.I. Gromova. The article notes the role of A.I. Gromova in the organization of scientific expeditions, a description of her educational work with the population of the region. Particular attention is paid to the participation of A.I. Gromova in transportation of exiled women and children to the place of residence in a remote area of the Yakutsk region party. This event had a great public response, since L.N. Tolstoy took an active part in the fate of the exiles. The characteristic of key events in the social life of North-Eeast Siberia is presented, in which A.I. Gromova and her heirs, who continued the family business commercial and public education.
