Food Ration of the Peasant Settlers in Western Siberia (late 19th– 20th Century)

 The article analyzes quantitative information concerning the food ration of peasant settlers on the basis of statistical sources; compares the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the peasant settlers’ diet depending on the time spent in Western Siberia and climate conditions; calculates nutritional and caloric values of the peasant settler’s food ration in Western Siberia. The author determines the time frame required to balance a food ration of new settlers in terms of nutrition and caloric value.
